Daddy's little girl!

At the end of the dance year Rachelle had a special review for the girls.  What a special night this was.  The girls were escorted by their dads and then the did their dances.  What an honor for Shane.  He loves his little girl so much.  I am so very thankful for the father he is to our children.  They are our world and make us both very proud!
Getting ready to go out on the floor.
SHOWTIME!
BFF's
Their biggest little fan.
Strike a pose then show me your silly face.
She absolutely loves her daddy and it shows.  They get along so good.  I had to chuckle when I noticed that without even planning it they matched when they arrived at the performance. I love the bond between these two and it grows stronger everyday.  There is just something special about being Daddy's little girl.

Falcon Basketball 2013

Brody and Haylie both played Falcon Basketball this year.  I was a little put off by the way the program was being run.  Unfortunately, this year the officials were Middle School/High School students so needless to say there weren't a lot of calls being made.  As a direct result of this there were some really poor sportsmanship behaviors exhibited by some players.  One girl even punched a smaller kid between the shoulders a couple of times because she wanted the ball.  Her dad, who was also her coach, and her mother just laughed. I couldn't believe it.  This girl was definitely old enough to know better. All I can say is that I was super proud of my kiddos for being good sports and playing to have fun.

Easter 2013

This year the kids colored eggs while I was at work at the Broken Spur.  The Brazell's came down to join in the fun.
Playing kick-the-can at Goblin Valley is a family tradition on Easter.  It was really nice to have Uncle Lance home.
Another family tradition is the Easter Egg fight.  Raw eggs or boiled eggs...it doesn't matter.  Brody usually instigates it and also gets the worst of it.  I seriously don't know why he still engages.  This year even the girls go involved.
This is a welt Brody received from Emerick.  Ty and Daph's friend we had the pleasure of spending the weekend with.  It was so funny. He walked up, threw the boiled egg and all we heard was a lough THUMP. No one even saw it coming! Giggles from everyone for sure.
Grandma trying to talk some sense into Brody and also ask him if he learned his lesson.  Of course the answer was NO!  He really likes doing this with his Uncles. Crazy Kid!
Mitch and Dustin got egg on them as well and Dusting pulled a muscle trying to "catch" Mitch.
Even Uncle Ty got in on the fun.  Such a good sport!
