Dallas/Fort Worth

This year Go West was in Dallas/Fort Worth so of course Shane and the kids wanted to come.  I flew directly from NTA in Florida to Dallas and anxiously awaited for Shane and the kids to arrive.  Unfortunately, they were having really bad weather in Salt Lake so their flight was delayed for hours.  Luckily they were able to fly out a little later and made it to Dallas that evening.  We met at the airport rental car area and picked up our car for the week.  When we got to Fort Worth they were all exhausted so we went straight to bed.  The next morning we went and ate breakfast while waiting for Andrew, Tamara, and their kids to arrive.  We had a lot planned for the few short days my family was with me.  The biggest highlight of the trip was the Dallas Cowboys stadium.  We got to do the tour and Shane was able to play catch with his son on Cowboy's Turf.  We went to the stock show, ate BBQ, swam in pools, went to the zoo, and just drove around to explore.  It was very nice having my family there with me.
Pictures at the zoo!
Haylie was excited to see bamboo plants.  That's what panda's eat don't you know?
This little guy was so funny.  Someone had thrown him a piece of gum so he was chewing and chewing on it.  He kept putting it on his tongue and sticking it out.  We watched him for quite a long time.
Of course after he got a taste of it he wanted more so he would look right at the people who had given it to him and hold his hand up for more.
The kids were quite concerned that people were feeding him when there were numerous signs asking visitors not to feed the animals.  The kids spotted a zoo worker and ran to tell her about the people throwing food/wrappers into the enclosure.  When the zookeeper came over she asked this little guy if he was begging again and he put down his arm, slumped his shoulders, and turned his head.  You could tell that he knew he had been caught.  It also seemed like this wasn't his first time.
