When Haylie informed me that she was going to do her "Sassy Dance" for the Miss Apple Days pageant the only thing I could say was "Oh... are we doing that this year?" She assured me that she wanted to compete and that she could do it herself. After just a little hesitation on my part I told her if that is what she wanted to do then I was fine with it. Practices weren't bad this year and the girls all had a lot of fun.

Show time!
She really likes this dance.
Work it Sissy!
We had to adjust the dance just a little since she didn't have any partners. We added some skipping which actually turned out really cute.
The final group dance with all the contestants.
She was spot on all through the dance.
While we were changing out of her talent costume into her group dance outfit all she kept saying was "I want to be the princess, I just hope I get to be the princess." She was such a nervous little thing while waiting to hear the results. She kept her hands over her mouth and kept looking up towards the sky. Shane and I were giggling about how nervous she was. When they announced the winner such a sigh of relief.
She got what she wanted. She was crowned Little Miss Apple Days 2011. When I told her good job she said "I am so happy, I feel like to cry." As you can see in this picture she wasn't far from it.

What a beautiful little "Princess"
She was so excited to get to ride on the float the next morning.
Doing the parade wave.
