How lucky we were to have the Walton's come for a visit. It was really nice to meet Mr. Lukie. He is such a cute little guy and Emma is a pure joy to be around. My kids really enjoyed their time with their cousins. There were a lot of things that needed to be experience while they were here.
The swing was a big hit with everyone.
Emma liked to go high and also "spider" with Haylie.
Shane and Haylie loved holding Lukie.
Lukie wasn't so sure about crawling on the trampoline. I'm pretty sure it didn't feel so great on his poor little tender knees.
Emma had never seen snow and wanted to play in it so we loaded up in the cars and headed to the top of Boulder to try to find some. Emma was really excited to get in it until she fell and got her hands cold then she didn't want much to do with it. Luckily for us Grandpa swooped in and saved the day. He just happened to have a pair of gloves in his vehicle for Emma to wear. After she got her gloves on she really enjoyed the snow.
The gloves were so big but they kept her hands warm.
Throwing snowballs at the guy who saved you???
Cute little snowman the kids made. It was under a foot tall.
Haylie decided she needed to get in on the action. She was a little braver than Emma. She marched right up and hit Grandpa with a snowball.
Everyone needs to eat a little snow. Even if you have to eat dirty snow off of dirty gloves. YUMMY!
Once we got back to the house we quickly shifted gears and decided to show Emma the animals. She was excited to ride in Haylie's little car over to see the lambs. She was also excited to ride Uncle Shane's horse.
On their way to see the lambs.
So fun that they can drive themselves.
Emma loved this.
Now for a horse ride. Emma kept saying that she wanted to ride the white one. Look at that grin. She was definitely having a good time.
Even Lukie seemed to enjoy some time in the saddle.
