We have had this old thing for several years. The kids were fighting one day about whose turn it was to drive so Shane put the battery in the dumpster to make a point. I asked him if he was going to truly throw it away and he said "No, I just want them to think I did." With that being said, I reminded him to make sure he got the battery out of the dumpster before the trash truck came. He assured me he would and I didn't think anymore about it. Low and behold a couple of weeks later he remembered that he had forgotten to retrieve the battery from the garbage. The escalade sat parked for months.
After quite awhile we decided to get a new battery for it. Haylie was so excited. Brody had not outgrown it and we made sure that he knew he could ride with her but since she hadn't been allowed to drive, only ride, with him the majority of the time, it was now her turn to be the driver. Brody was a good sport and didn't seem to mind "riding" with her at all. What a good big brother.
She is so happy to have the little car back.
Practicing the parade wave.
So serious.
Sometimes you have to get out and push becuse it doesn't have enough power to make it up the hill.
But then jump in and away you go again.
Soooo happy!
Haylie getting a little push from her co-pilot.
Checking to see if she burned the tread off.
Getting ready to park.
So much fun for such a fun little lady.
