This year Haylie had the opportunity to play on Shane's coach pitch baseball team. Even though she was younger than some of the kids on her team and..."a girl" she did really well. She wasn't afraid to get in front of the ball and stop it. She throws really well, and hits like a slugger!
This is how my girl hits.
This is how the boys hit!
I'm ready dad.
Yes...sometimes we play in skirts.
Taking a little break before sprinting to the next base.
Here she goes. The helmets are really big so she has to hold onto it or it will fall off.
Covering 1st base.
Being the team's cheerleader while on base.
Hit it sis.
Thumbs up....I made it!
When I showed her this picture she said "Look mom, I'm peeling dust." She sure is a fast little runner.
Looking for advice on whether or not to run.
Scoring a run with style.
Picture time...great pose!
Haylie was really excited that her dad was her coach. He did such a great job with all of the kids. This was the team picture at the last game. They only had 7 kids finish the season which was really sad being as how the season only lasted for 6 weeks. Oh well...there is always next year, and I am really looking forward to seeing how she progresses.
