7 Peaks with the Brazells

This year I decided to buy the pass of all passes.  What a great idea.  Even though we don't live close enough to really use them, we still saved money for even just one day by buying the pass.  While we were up attending the Bees game we invited the Brazells to go 7 peaks with us for a day.  The day is always so much more fun with cousins.

Brody's first slide of the day.  Great form!

Notice the form of Cory on the left as compared to the form of my lovie Shane on the right.  Maybe this is why Carter always like to watch Uncle Shane.

One of the things I love about Shane is the way he laughs so easily.

Brody was a little nervous to try this one but he did and then he really liked it.

Just hanging out

Shane and Brody racing...I think Brody may have won by just an inch.

Sometimes Brody would "catch some air" on this slide which I tried to get on film but was always too slow.

Seven Peaks is hard on little girls.

Haylie wanted to try to go all the way across the water using the ropes.  After several failed attempts going forward for her and me watching other kids doing it backwards, I made the suggestion that she try going backwards. And away she went.

At first it was kind of slow going but...

...once again, everything is easier with your tongue out.

She managed to make it all the way across to the other side.

This smile was when she jumped in AFTER making it to the other side AND because her brother never did.

Brody talked Midge into going down this slide with him.  As you can see from the look on their faces, he absolutely loved it. Her...not so much!

Off to the races again.  I think Brody had the slight edge over Midge.

Back to the ropes for a little redemption. Haylie was the first to try.

Brody started crowding her a little and she really didn't enjoy that.

Not to be outdone by each other, both of them holding on for dear life.

They both made it across without falling in.  Phew....

Just "chillaxin'" waiting for the waves.

Brody decided he would be the motor to get them where he thought they should be.

Haylie was taking full advantage of the ride.

Finally made it up against the wall just in time for the waves.

I absolutely love the way Brody takes care of his little sister.  She really looks up to him and has his back no matter what.  Pretty proud of my littles!

  1. My son got the biggest kick out of that close up shot of Brody called, "Just Hanging Out". When we downloaded the picture he had a good laugh. He thinks Brody's expression is funny! He said this would be another good picture to put on display in our large digital picture frame and suggested maybe he can start a slide show of his favorite Brody shots!
